Who I am and what I do at Karine
I'm a software engineer specializing in neural networks and language models — not a licensed therapist, but a builder and researcher. Before Karine, I spent years in operations consulting: turning chaotic business processes into systems that keep running without manual oversight.
I've carried that same instinct into Karine. What genuinely pulls me in is what language models are good at, and where they quietly fail — agreeing with the user instead of pushing back, losing context, sounding confident exactly where they should be uncertain — and figuring out how to design around that honestly instead of just papering over it.
I created Karine — a Telegram-based psychological support bot built on Claude — and I'm responsible for how it works under the hood: architecture, prompts, and publishing the blog. It's the only project I'm working on right now.
The topics, writing, and psychological accuracy of the blog are led by Mila Filippova — a psychologist and consultant, and my co-author. My part is turning her expertise into a working product.
This matters: every article on this site is educational content, not therapy. Serious conditions need a human specialist.
What I do
- Build and maintain Karine — an AI emotional-support bot, currently serving a Russian-speaking audience
- Study the application of CBT methods in digital tools
- Handle the technical side of the blog — layout, structure, sourcing — for the topics and writing that Mila produces
Who else makes Karine
My co-author on the project is Mila Filippova, a psychologist and consultant.
